This video is a good technique into doing a quick chop on the mpc 2000 model. It's like the zoning function on the 2000xl model, but the best thing to understand is that even if you are going to do an autochop function on the mpc 2000, make sure the loop is short.

I personally am not a fan of autochopping because I like to manually adjust each detail of sound I chop. The more control you have of chopping, the more unrecognizable the sample is.
