In my Life

This track can be heard on the Kings of Diggin compilation on the Kon and Amir disc. 17 bucks for a compilation with over 50 hard to find breaks; count me in! The original album this In my Life song is off of is from Matthew Larkin Cassell's "Pieces". Once you hear this track, you may want to go out and find that record and see what other good songs he has got.

In this section of the track you will need to zoom a lot to chop up the guitar tones. The guitars you can easily chop are some decent tones you can work with an mess with later on.

If you wanted to mess with a droning guitar sound it's on this part of the record. I'm pretty sure that if you loop this section or truncate it tot he right point and throw some LFO's with this deep guitar drone, you can make a good synthesiser sound from it.

The break is simple yet moving. The way the hats are layered into many if the hits give it a nice rusty characteristics to each of the drums you slice up. The hat layered with a kick has the gritty sound you want from the break. The snares aren't trying to stand out as much, but still make a good all out kit to chop up and use later on.
